LONG HOURS! LOUSY PAY! FREE SUNTAN!!! Working as a Windsurfing instructor is a great way to spend a Gap Year; also people retired or changing direction in their lives find great satisfaction in teaching. Instructors are always in demand both in the UK and worldwide. You can take an instructor course at 16 years old, work as a cadet instructor until 18, and when you reach your Gap Year you will be fully qualified and experienced to take off to the sun!! Only 14? Get one step ahead and sign up for an assistant instructor course, gain valuable experience with the Bewl Team and it looks good on your CV! If you can't afford the time and expense of training abroad, come to Kent!

 

Start Windsurfing Instructor (Level 1) Course: (5 days) October 23rd - 27th
This is an intensive but enjoyable 5 day course run throughout the year. In order to become an instructor you must be over 16 and have the following:-

1. You should be a competent windsurfer, which means happy in the harness and footstraps, in planing winds
(RYA level 3). If you don't have this certificate you can be assessed on the course if the wind is strong enough.
2. Hold an RYA level 2 Powerboat certificate.
3. Hold a valid First Aid certificate.
4. 12 hours observation on a learn to windsurf course at an RYA centre (free with us).

If you have a problem attaining any of the above, you are given an action plan and a reasonable amount of time in which to achieve your goal.
**Plus: 2 Passport photos, RYA Membership and the necessary RYA publications (i.e. W4 log book, W33 33A instruction manuals, WSM1 Pupil's log book.)

Intermediate Windsurfing Instructor Course: (October 4th & 5th and October 18th & 19th)
This is a 3 day course; you need to be a Level 1 Instructor with a minimum of 52 hours' logged teaching experience, and RYA Level 4 sailing ability.

Fastforward Instructor Conversion Course
Join the Fastforward Revolution! This is a very intensive 2 day course for Level 3 Instructors with L3 logged teaching and coaching experience

Assistant Instructor Course:
Again this is an enjoyable 2 day course. To do this course you must be over 14 years old and have the following:-
1. RYA Level 2 Standard (Beach starts, fast tacking and gybing in F3 winds)
2. Hold a valid First Aid certificate.
Plus: 2 Passport photos, RYA Membership and the necessary RYA publications (W4 & W1 log books).
